Grilled Broccolini

Updated: Jan 21, 2021

Broccolini is the smart and sophisticated brother of your traditional broccoli. Plus, it tastes great grilled and makes a fantastic side to any main course.

You can go a lot of different directions when grilling veggies but I tend to keep them simple and let the fresh ingredients shine. This is as easy as it gets, olive, garlic, salt and pepper...what could go wrong?

Ingredient List

  • 1-2 pounds Broccolini

  • Lemon (garnish and zest)

Supply List

Instructions

Step 1: Trim the ends of your broccolini.

Step 2: In a Ziploc bag, add ingredients, shake to mix (this can be done well before and stored in the fridge for hours until cook time). If you want to had a touch of heat you can add red pepper flakes.

Step 3: Turn your grill on high, you want anywhere between 450-500 degrees

Step 4: I put the broccolini directly on the grill. My broccolini had enough surface area to be just fine. That said, a couple piece did fall through the grate...so, a basket works too.

Step 5: Grill on high heat for around 7-9 minutes getting a nice char on the outside.

Step 6: Remove from the grill, drizzle with a touch of good olive oil, finishing salt and some zest from the lemon.

Enjoy!
