Honey BBQ Sauce

Updated: Jan 21, 2021

I love me a good BBQ sauce and I am extremely proud of this one in particular. A good honey BBQ sauce is all about balance and most of the ones I’ve tried don’t have the balance that I am seeking. The majority seem to have too little honey or entirely too much. I created this sauce to have a balance between a traditional BBQ sauce and honey.

This goes amazing with chicken, chicken wings and all types of poultry and pork. Use it for anything that you would use BBQ sauce to baste or dip in.

Ingredient List

  • 1 cup organic ketchup (I prefer organic ketchup as there no high fructose corn syrup which increases the chances of burning on the smoker/grill)

  • ¾ cup honey

  • ¼ distilled white vinegar

  • ¼ cup molasses

  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
