Santa Maria Seasoning

Updated: Jan 21, 2021

This is, hands down, my personal favorite seasoning. It is very much a West Coast barbecue influence with a perfect blend of salt, pepper, garlic, and onion with an herbaceous touch.

This seasoning can go on darn near anything! I use this for all proteins including beef, chicken, fish, eggs, and even vegetables such as asparagus. It is extremely versatile and absolutely amazing!

Ingredient List

  • 2 Tablespoons coarse salt

  • 1 Tablespoon coarse black pepper

  • 1 Tablespoon granulated garlic

  • 1 Tablespoon granulated onion

  • ½ Tablespoon smoked paprika

  • 1 Teaspoon dry rosemary

  • Optional: ½ Teaspoon cayenne pepper

Supply List

Instructions

Mix all ingredients in a bowl and store in a cool dry place. This will stay good in an airtight container for 6 months. But, I doubt you’ll not be able to use it all quickly!
